About the Department
The M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), established in the academic year 2012–13, is a prestigious postgraduate programme committed to excellence in advanced computing education and impactful research. With the motto of leading in computer science research and education that creates real-world impact, the department has evolved into a vibrant center for postgraduate learning and innovation.
Graduates of the programme are well-prepared for careers in research and development, high-end software industries, academia, and leadership roles in emerging technology domains.
The programme focuses on emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Distributed Systems, and Software Engineering, equipping students to address real-world technological challenges.
With a strong blend of theoretical foundations and practical application, the programme emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and research-oriented learning. Dedicated research groups work in areas including Robotics, Networking, Data Mining, Image Processing, Grid Computing, and Compiler Design. Students are encouraged to undertake industry-relevant projects and publish research findings.
The department is supported by six well-equipped laboratories with 260 high-performance systems, advanced servers, and high-speed internet connectivity. Regular guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and industrial visits enhance learning beyond the classroom. Professional training support and industry interaction ensure strong placement opportunities.

The graduates of M.E. – Computer Science and Engineering will:
